Why I Started Kosha Wellness
A car crash, 27 years in corporate America, and one simple goal: live life fully and happily

I grew up in Mumbai, India, where I spent my teenage years and early twenties as a marathon runner and a dedicated gym-goer. Fitness wasn’t just a hobby for me; it was part of my identity.
In the late 1990s, I moved to the United States to pursue a career in software engineering. Within a year of arriving, everything changed: I was in a serious car accident in New Jersey that left me paralyzed, with a lasting condition known as foot drop.
I could no longer run marathons. But that was alright.
Choosing to Keep Going
I made a deliberate choice in the aftermath of that accident: to keep my spirit and morale high, and to keep building a full life regardless of what had changed. That was 27 years ago. Since then, I’ve built a career in corporate America while also building a personal wellness practice, grounded in yoga, pranayama, and a spiritual discipline I continue to follow under the guidance of my Guru.
Why Kosha Exists
That experience taught me, directly and permanently, how much wellness matters, physically, mentally, and spiritually, and how easy it is to take that well-being for granted until something forces you to reckon with it. I wanted the people around me, and eventually many more people than that, to understand its importance before life demands it of them.
That conviction is what led me to start Kosha: a platform where wellness providers, yoga teachers, therapists, coaches, nutritionists, and more, can offer their services, and where anyone seeking that kind of support can find and book it with ease.
The Goal Is Simple
Live life fully and happily. That is the entire premise behind Kosha, built to help people pursue well-being in whatever form it takes for them.
