Kruti's Ayurvedic Approach to Blood Sugar and Midlife Health
Practitioner Spotlight · Radiant Health Ayurvedic Clinic · Ringoes, NJ · Online sessions nationwide

"Simple. Sustainable. Transformative."
Kruti Thakore has spent years watching smart, disciplined women do everything right and still see their A1c creep up. Many cook at home, avoid sweets and walk every day. As a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Certified Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner, she helps them understand why their current approach isn't working and build one they can actually live with. They don't have to give up the food they love.
She sees clients in person at her clinic in Ringoes, New Jersey, and online anywhere in the US.
The path to this work
Kruti's interest in weight and health began long before her career did. As a teenager she was athletic, yet her weight kept fluctuating, and the advice she got made things worse. One remedy left her weak and disrupted her cycle. A "weight loss" expert put her on repeated 30-day grape-only diets, and each one ended with the weight coming back.
After she moved to the United States, a new climate, new foods and new stress took their toll on her energy, sleep and weight. Then she lost her father to Type 2 diabetes. That loss changed her direction.
At 50, she went back to school to study nutrition, Ayurvedic lifestyle and integrative wellness. She rebuilt her own habits around warm, simple meals, lunch as the main meal of the day, and mindful eating. She reports losing 70 pounds over 12 to 18 months and keeping it off. Today she brings that experience, along with her background in microbiology and lab science, to every client she works with.

Who Kruti works with
Kruti works especially with women in midlife who are facing insulin resistance, prediabetes, Type 2 diabetes, stubborn weight gain, or the hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause. Many are busy professionals juggling careers and families. They often feel they're doing everything right, yet still struggle with belly fat, fatigue, cravings, poor sleep and rising blood sugar.
Her specialty is South Asian food and family life. "You don't have to give up your Indian Thali," she says. She shows clients how to keep roti, rice, dal and sabzi on the table while making practical changes that support steady blood sugar. Her approach works for anyone who wants a personalized, whole-body plan instead of another restrictive diet.
The clients she loves working with are tired of quick fixes. They want to understand what's happening in their bodies and are ready to take an active role in their health.
The Optimal Well-Being Method™
Kruti's signature program is a 24-week, one-to-one coaching program that blends Ayurvedic wisdom with modern nutrition science and evidence-informed coaching. What sets it apart:
- Personal, not one-size-fits-all. Your plan considers your health history, digestion, sleep, stress, routine and food preferences.
- Your food, adjusted. Familiar meals stay. You learn the practical tweaks that support blood sugar and steady weight.
- More than the scale. Energy, sleep, digestion, cravings and confidence count as progress too.
- Ayurveda meets science. Principles like Agni (digestive fire), Dinacharya (daily routine) and Ritucharya (seasonal routine) work alongside current research on nutrition, movement and sleep.
- Habits that last. As a board-certified coach, Kruti helps clients spot their barriers and build skills that last beyond the program.
A client story
Dipali (name changed for privacy), 48, came to Kruti with prediabetes (A1c 6.4%), high cholesterol, weight gain around her middle, and perimenopause symptoms. She had already seen several dietitians, but their meal plans didn't fit her vegetarian Indian diet or her busy life.
Working alongside her physician, she followed a six-month personalized plan covering food, movement, sleep and stress. By the end, she had lost 20 pounds, her A1c had fallen to 6.0%, and her cholesterol and triglycerides had improved. At her one-year follow-up, she had kept the weight off and her A1c was 5.4%.
Kruti remembers what happened next:
"After completing our six months together, Dipali continued practicing the habits and lifestyle changes she had learned through The Optimal Well-Being Method™.
Six months later, at the 12-month mark, she called me. She was in tears as she said, ‘Kruti, thank you. You have no idea how much you've helped me and how you've changed my life. I don't even have the words to express my gratitude.’
That moment will always stay with me.
It wasn't just about her weight loss or improved blood sugar. It was about seeing her take ownership of her health and sustain those changes long after our coaching sessions had ended.
Moments like these remind me that the true measure of my work isn't just the results clients achieve while working with me, but the lasting impact those changes have on their lives."
These are individual, client-reported results. Results vary, and medication decisions remain with each client's own doctor.
What working with Kruti looks like
The program starts with an in-depth assessment of about two hours, often split across two sessions. Kruti explores:
- what brought you to her and what you've already tried;
- your Ayurvedic constitution (Prakruti) and current imbalances (Vikruti);
- your digestion, sleep, stress and daily routine;
- your health history and recent lab reports.
Together you set realistic goals for one, three and six months.
Each session after that begins with listening. If you arrive exhausted after a week of poor sleep, the session adapts to that. "I meet clients where they are, not where I think they should be," she says.
She wants every client to leave with three things:
- Clarity about what's affecting their health.
- Confidence that progress is possible without giving up the foods they love.
- One or two practical next steps.
Her long-term goal is independence: "My goal isn't to make clients dependent on me for answers."
